Research Fields: high-energy astrophysics. Born in November 1964 in Hai’an, Jiangsu Province. Graduated from the Department of Applied Physics, National University of Defense Technology in 1987. Received his master’s degree from the Shanghai Institute of Nuclear Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1990, and his doctoral degree from Nanjing University in 1993.
